President's Report

 GBTA Tampa Bay Chapter finished the year with our last 2017 Educational Luncheon at the Marriott Westshore Hotelm who shared with us some amazing culinary goodness!  Thank you again Marriott for your generous sponsoship.

I want to also thank all of our members for your continue support and hope to see you again in 2018. Please visit our website for all upcoming Educational Luncheons and our Annual Fundraiser.

Education

Taking Applications Now for Professional Development Scholarships 

The GBTA Tampa Bay Chapter supports the pursuit of professional certification through the Global Business Travel Association’s programs and educational offerings. To support this, we are able to offer educational scholarship grants to eligible member professionals, with funding towards a variety of programs.

 

To qualify as a candidate for a GBTA Tampa Bay Chapter scholarship you must:          

  • Be a member in good standing, with membership dues paid.
  • Have attended a minimum of 2 GBTA Tampa Bay Chapter events within the last 12 months.
  • Be a current or become a GBTA Tampa Bay Chapter committee member.

GBTA Professional Development Opportunities:

  • GBTA Convention
  • GTP - Global Travel Professional
  • GLP - Global Leadership Professional
  • Any GBTA Education Day
  • GBTA Webinars - Web Based Learning
  • Other Individual Education (TBD)

To submit your scholarship application, please login to the member area, go to the scholarship page and complete the online form.

Fundraiser

GBTA Tampa Bay Chapter Board and Members have selected Dress for Sucess Tampa Bay as the new Charity recipient for 2018.  We will be collecting new and almost new business attire at each of our events, for those who want to start contributing and making a difference immediately.

 

"The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life"

Dress for Success Tampa Bay serves clients by referral only, and women must have an interview scheduled before receiving clothing. Our clients come to us from a continually expanding and diverse group of non-profit and government agencies including homeless shelters, immigration services, job training programs, educational institutions and domestic violence shelters, among many other organizations. More than 2,750 organizations throughout the world send women to Dress for Success for professional apparel and career development services.
